I love accessories and have always had a fascination with crafting of all kinds. In 2008 I dusted off my sewing machine - made a purse and haven’t stopped since. Fabric tote bags made of beautiful bold crisp cottons with matching hats (summer) and wool totes, capes and purses (winter).
Times and styles have changed, but the thrill of carrying a vessel that speaks to your personality, whether it be slung over your shoulder or across your body, containing your most valued possessions remains the same. My bags reflect the mood of the moment - a girls weekend can scream sarcasm; however, a weekend get-a-way with your honey may call for paisley.
Fabric purchases are based on color palette, not for specific items. Some prints make wonderful tote bags, while others make beautiful hats or purses. Once the cloth is laid out on the cutting table, Spirit dictates the outcome. Each and every creation is always purchased and/or adopted by its new owner and loved sincerely.
When I’m not sitting behind a sewing machine, I transform into the Garden Goddess and can be found knee-deep playing in the dirt in any one of my seven perennial gardens. I am the proud mother of four (4) grown children, five (5) grandchildren, and owned by Butch the Siamese and Lucy the Labrador.
